Evidence-based psychotherapy for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, depression, and concerns related to eating and body image.

Care is grounded in clinical rigor, collaboration, and compassion.

Hi, I’m Dr. Bruria Jofen.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. My practice focuses on the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and concerns related to self-esteem and body image.

My clinical training began at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where I earned a doctorate in clinical psychology with a health emphasis, focusing on the intersection of psychological and physiological well-being.

Prior to establishing my private practice, I completed training across a range of inpatient and outpatient settings, including the New York-Presbyterian Westchester Eating Disorders Inpatient Unit, the Child & Family Institute, Center for Anxiety, and Ezra Medical Center. This work provided extensive experience treating individuals with diverse presentations and levels of symptom severity.

FAQs

  • We are an out-of-network practice and do not accept insurance directly. A detailed receipt (superbill) can be provided for submission to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance to inquire about out-of-network mental health benefits.

  • That’s a great question. The length of treatment varies depending on each individual’s needs and goals. We’re happy to outline an expected course of therapy and provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE), which details the anticipated costs of services before treatment begins.
